10cc headlining the last night of Bluebird K7 – The Festival

10cc have been confirmed as the headline act for Bluebird K7 – The Festival in Coniston, Cumbria, performing on Sunday 17 May 2026 as part of a week-long celebration of one of Britain’s most daring engineering stories. The new festival marks the historic return of Donald Campbell’s restored Bluebird K7 jet hydroplane to Coniston Water, where Campbell set multiple world water-speed records in the 1950s and 60s.
Frontman Graham Gouldman said: “People of a certain age were captivated in their youth by the daring exploits of Donald Campbell and Bluebird’s breaking of several world water-speed records on Coniston, and so it is an honour to be performing as part of a festival celebrating his achievements and the work being done today.” His words underline the band’s personal connection to the Bluebird story and to the generations who watched Campbell’s record-breaking runs.
Bluebird K7 – The Festival runs on and around Coniston Water in May 2026 and coincides with the 70th anniversary of Campbell’s first world water-speed record on the lake. The event will see the iconic hydroplane return to Coniston for high-profile demonstrations after nearly six decades, joined by a programme of talks and music that shines a spotlight on British innovation and record-breaking ambition.
Tickets for 10cc’s headline appearance on 17 May are already on sale via the festival’s official booking page at www.bluebirdk7thefestival.co.uk with strong interest expected following the band’s sell-out UK tour and high-profile shows this year. Local accommodation providers around Coniston are also urging fans to book early, anticipating high demand for what is being billed as a once-in-a-lifetime celebration on the shores of the Lake District.
